Marsden Y9 student Lucy represented Wellington at the 2023 NZ Gymnastics Championships in the first week of the school holidays with spectacular results. She competed in three events the synchro trampoline, double mini trampoline and trampoline. Her focused lead-up, training 5 times a week, meeting the tough qualifying criteria at the South Island Champs in April, and medaling at North Island Champs in May paid off. With her synchro partner, Charlotte, Lucy won silver in the 13-14yr female age group for synchro trampoline. And, in the 13-14yr double mini tramp, she won gold. Huge congratulations, Lucy!
